We’re delighted to share that Christine Arthur, Group Managing Director of PR and Communications at McCann Central, has been appointed one of the new Deputy Lieutenants for the West Midlands.

New appointments were recently revealed by the Lord-Lieutenant of the West Midlands, Mr John Crabtree OBE, Her Majesty’s personal representative in the region who supports civic, ceremonial, voluntary, charitable and social activity.

As a Deputy Lieutenant, Chris will support the Lord-Lieutenant in her own time in a number of ways including; attending on Royalty during official visits to the County, representation at citizenship ceremonies, encouraging charitable and voluntary work and local initiatives to benefit the community, as well as promoting and encouraging nominations for Honours and Queen’s Awards for the county of the West Midlands.

Chris was invited to serve as a Deputy Lieutenant due to her significant contribution to the region. As a communications expert with 30 years’ experience, she has helped to manage the reputations of a range of organisations across the private and public sectors and has been involved with many of the region’s landmark projects.

She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and an external trustee at the University of Birmingham Guild of Students.
